Most advertising agents I’ve found require publisher content to receive a steady flow of traffic which is out of my current demand. Are there any pay per click or pay per banner impression agencies who accept very low traffic (less than 100 unique hits per day) content? Any other ideas altogether? My content meets a dedicated niche so I doubt it will ever be on the same level as say Facebook or Google.

I’ve been dabbling with the idea of redirecting my links through paid outbound advertisements, but don’t want to drive my already low traffic base away with the annoyances of ads in between navigation.

You could try to find affiliate programmes within your niche and sell other peoples products for a commission.

Try Clickbank first or look on other websites that sell products related to your niche (there is often an affiliates link at the foot of the page).

You could also find information products relating to your niche and buy the resale rights, so you can sell copies of the product for 100% commission.

If you are an expert in your niche you could create an information product relating to the topic e.g. a “How to…” e-book, audio download, video download or DVD hard copy etc.

It is important for you not to make your website an advertising board but rather a content rich information source, that way people will trust your recommendations and are more likely to buy the products you are recommending.

A good technique is to write reviews of different products and summarise with a recommendation (linking to the product you are promoting).

The main thing is that ppc ads on websites have very low conversion rates and so a large amount of traffic is essential to make money from them. Banner ads are even lower converting.

    Hope this helps

If your content is in a dedicated niche then see if there are affiliate programs related to that niche that you can promote. There may be a report, product, videos etc that you can offer to your current traffic. Other options include Adsense or even the Amazon Associate network (you can promote anything on Amazon). Even if with low traffic you can still make some money with these options, particularly if the traffic is targeted.
